The Actor
Steve Martin (no, not THAT Steve Martin) is a fantastically talented and passionate actor of stage and film hailing from Stevens Point, WI. Steve's experience with depression during the 2020 lockdowns brought to light mental health struggles in our homes and communities. As a result of his journey during the pandemic, Steve became passionate about spreading awareness and fundraising for mental health initiatives. He fell in love with the show, "Every Brilliant Thing," which he decided to perform in order to accomplish those goals."Every Brilliant Thing" is written by Duncan Macmillan, with Jonny Donahoe
The Charity
Every Brilliant Thing Central WI will be doing TWO fundraising performances - a two-day run in Stevens Point, WI, on May 30 & 31, 2025, and a performance in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, in September 2025.The charity receiving all proceeds will be the United Way of Portage County and funds from the event will be specifically designated to various mental health resource organizations in Central Wisconsin.
The United Way of Portage County gave us our seed money so we could book a venue and start marketing the show. Thank you so much, United Way!
